Biognosis is the felt-sense knowing that occurs when we fully appreciate the client and help them utilise their own healing potential to restore peace within. This course is designed for serious practitioners who want to explore the felt-sense information they receive from their clients. From this place we are able to make a more informed analysis as to the nature of their suffering.
Part of this exploration comes from appreciating the embryological movements we make during the process of growth. These movements represent the potential and normal range of movements we make in utero. Without understanding inherent movement it is easy to mis-diagnose a client and categorise these natural movements as patterns of trauma and biokinetics. However, this is only true when these patterns are happening repeatedly and/or compulsively within the client.

We will also appreciate the metabolic fields that are set up in order for embryological growth to occur in a targeted and exact way. These create the differentiation between muscle and bone, but more importantly between muscle, tendon and ligament: spongy, laminar and chondrocranial (dense) bone. Some tissues are created to be limiting while others are loose, providing a difference between boundary and substance. Similarly there is much canalisation in the early embryo as fluids transport nutrients to targeted areas, this eventually transforms into blood and so the importance of haematopoiesis becomes paramount for our emerging life cycle.
This naturally leads us to explore blood creation and flow along with the heart. The emerging science shows us that blood flows along hydrophilic vessels in spirals, not unlike the phenomena of capillary action in other living plants and animals.

What then of the embryological formation and later functioning of the heart itself? Even though it isn’t a pump, the heart has been shown to be the master resonator of the organs and viscera. As such it is also the source of potentisation of blood, a part of our life force, the Breath of Life.
Through learning about formation and function we can make the heart our natural place of resonance when assessing biognostic imprints of suffering within our clients. Repeated resting in this place is of course beneficial in our own lives giving us a grounding in ‘shen’ or spirit.
This is a 4-day postgrad designed to help the practitioners become more attuned and hence skilled in assessing their clients. As cranial practitioners it is important to continue our investigation into embryology as the origin of movement and the Tides. Hence we are able to use this understanding as the baseline of our practice.
